TIME SENSITIVE: Register Your Child for Next Week's Heilicher Community Connections!

We are very excited to be offering another round of Community Connections next week (12/14-12/18). Heilicher's Community Connections program is an optional and safe opportunity for individual grade levels to gather with their classmates, in-person, on the Sam London Field. Programming will be approximately 1.5 hours in length, and will take place outdoors as much as possible.

Thoughtful planning has been put into each Community Connections activity so as to maintain at least six feet of distance between participants, and masks will be required at all times. Any indoor programming will be in groups of ten or fewer, and will be held in large, well-ventilated spaces such as the Dining Room or the Manny Fingerhut Auditorium. Frequent hand washing will be practiced whenever indoors.

Please complete the form LINKED HERE if your student will be attending their grade level's Community Connections programming the week of December 14. The times for each grade are listed in this form. Form submission will be accepted up to 4 hours in advance of the day's programming. Students will not be permitted to drop-in on programming without prior form submission, nor will they be allowed to attend if their form was submitted within four hours of the program start-time. Students must attend for the full, designated time block.

*Change from last week: Due to scheduling limitations, Community Connections for Grades 6-8 will take place ON ONE DATE ONLY. Grade 6 programming will be only on 12/11, and Grades 7 and 8 programming have been combined and will take place only on 12/18.

Please contact me at with any questions.

Minimester 4 Distance Learning Schedule

As a reminder, Minimester 4 begins Monday, December 14.

Please review the Distance Learning Schedule for Minimester 4 for each grade level. The attachment is a single spreadsheet with tabs along the bottom for each grade level. Note that these are "live" documents and will be updated as schedules adjust. Therefore, we encourage you to check your children's Distance Learning Schedules daily for any changes.

Please note that most of the classes do not have Zoom links embedded, with the exception of school-wide programs. The class- or grade-specific Zoom links will be made available to parents via Seesaw for grades K-2. For grades 3-8, your child should receive Zoom invites via Google calendar invites from their teachers so that the appointments appear on their personal Google calendars.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day Food Drive
Martin Luther King Jr. Day is designated as a national day of service.  This year we are unable to do our all-school service projects, but we can still make a difference. Food banks are very low on food.  We can each put aside two items for the food shelf each week until MLK Day on Monday, January 18. That way we'll each have a bag ready to donate that week.

In addition, we'll be making cards for people in hospitals and nursings homes.  Stay tuned for more information about that as we get closer to MLK.

If you have another idea for do-at-home project we can promote in the spirit of service projects, please contact Wendy Goldberg.
