Heilicher Hanukah Reminder
Hanukah Candles
Please note there is no K-5 Kabbalat Shabbat program tomorrow. This year, we are trying a new student-only experience: The Hanukah Exploratorium.
Tomorrow, Friday, December 7, students will participate in a Hanukah Exploratorium, creating Handmade Midrashim (artistic interpretations) with their multi-grade Friday lunch tables ( mishpahot/families). Combining art, engineering, and Jewish knowledge, this STEAM-y activity will solidify students' learning in a fun, engaging, and communal fashion.

Meet School Resource Officer Dennis Maki

St. Louis Park School Resource Officer (SRO) Dennis Maki has been visiting Heilicher this year and is excited to get to know Heilicher students and their families. Officer Maki has been working with the Heilicher community since 2016.

We talked with Officer Maki and here is what he had to share:
  • My favorite place(s) in St. Louis Park for peace and quiet is the Westwood Nature Center. For a relaxing dinner it's Cooper's Irish Pub in the West End.

  • What I enjoy most about being a School Resource Officer is being around kids! I have regular Monday through Friday hours, so my family enjoys that as well.

  • My favorite hobby right now is helping coach my son's squirt hockey team. Being around kids and staying active keeps me feeling young.
Tuition Announcement and Continuous Enrollment

Earlier this week, all Heilicher parents should have received an email from Yoni announcing 2019-2020 tuition levels, some changes to the tuition and financial assistance models, and a reminder about continuous enrollment. Please contact the Finance Office if you did not receive these important emails or if you have questions.
