School's Out Soirée & Annual Meeting Tonight

Join us for an adults night out to celebrate a great year at Heilicher tonight, Thursday, June 6, 7:30-9:30 p.m. at the Sabes JCC outdoor Pool (Manny Fingerhut Auditorium in case of rain). There will be music, dancing, snacks, and drinks. RSVP today to Ali Berdass, through the E-vite, or on the Facebook event.

We are beginning preparations for the 2019-20 school year and need your help. To help guide us in your child's classroom placement, we ask that you please fill out this survey. Please complete one survey per student entering Grades K-6. 

Deadline: Today! Forms will not be accepted after today.

Suggestions for Summer Reading
     

Below are links to several reading programs and resources to help your child(ren) dive into summer reading!

  • Wild Rumpus Summer Reading Challenge : Stop by Wild Rumpus bookstore to pick up a Super Summer Reading Challenge sheet or print one at home. Fill in the squares as you go, then bring your sheet to Wild Rumpus by Labor Day to get a prize! 
Summer Hebrew  Review Packet
     
This year, as in the past, we have created Hebrew summer packets so our students can review what they learned during the year. We kindly request that you work with your child to complete the appropriate packet over the summer and return their completed work to their Hebrew teacher on the first day of school next year (August 26). A Message for Eighth-Grade Parents 

Mazel tov on your child's day school graduation! We are very proud of all the accomplishments of this gifted class.

We like to keep track of our students and all their accomplishments in the areas of school, work, leadership, and involvement in organizational activities.  

Please let us know which high school your child will be attending and their current email address so we can send them invitations to relevant Heilicher events. Please send this information to Ethan Tarshish.
Check the Lost and Found!

The Heilicher Lost and Found is located outside the Main Office. Items not claimed by end of day, Thursday, June 6, will be donated. 

Summer Camp Care Packages 


If your incoming grade 3-8 child is attending overnight camp, we would love to send them a letter along with a small care package. Please fill out this form to provide the dates of the program, and the camp your child is attending. We hope they all have a great time at camp!
Mazel Tov to Heilicher Art Teacher Aimee Orkin 
  
Ms. Orkin has been awarded an artist and educator residency in Jerusalem at the Kol Ha'Ot Art Center and Gallery in The Artist Colony of Hutzot Hotzer. She will be taking a sabbatical during the 2019-2010 school year. In addition to her time in Israel, she will be talking classes in Calligraphy, Jewish Prayer, and Hebrew Language. We wish Ms. Orkin the best in her year of learning!
March with Heilicher at Twin Cities Pride 

Come celebrate Heilicher together at the Ashley Rukes GLBT Pride Parade on  Sunday, June 23 at 11 a.m. We will be marching alongside J-Pride with a Heilicher banner. I t's a great opportunity to celebrate our LGBTQ families, students, faculty, and staff while sharing our w onderful spirit with the greater community.

Summer Office Hours

Heilicher summer office hours are Monday-Thursday 9 a.m.-2 p.m. The office will be closed July 1-31. Voicemail will continue to be retrieved and distributed Monday-Thursday during the entire summer. If you need to connect with an administrator, you are encouraged to email them directly. Parents may also use the mailbox outside the main office for forms, payments, and other envelopes that need to be delivered to the office during the summer.

Join us next school year as we continue building upon Heilicher's environmental commitment. The Green Team is intended for parents, families, and staff t o empower the Heilicher community to enhance their environmental awareness, their personal connection to nature, and stewardship of the Earth.
