2019 Annual Fund Kick-Off & Treats!

The 2019 Heilicher Annual Fund is launching this Monday, October 15!

To thank our community and fuel our success (and your morning),  8th graders will hand out Caribou coffee in the drop-off lines on Monday morning. Many thanks to our friends at the Caribou Park Place location for their support. If you pick up your child in the afternoon, you will also get a fun (donated) kosher treat to take home.

Our goal was to raise $100,000 toward the Annual Fund by the October 15 Annual Fund Campaign Launch, and to date we have raised $105,000 from parents, grandparents, board members, alumni parents and others.

The Annual Fund is  the core unrestricted fund that helps cover the gap between tuition and the true cost of a Heilicher education. Our goal is to raise over $350,000 this year.  Enjoy your coffee, and help us keep up our momentum with a gift to the Annual Fund.

Please note: If your 8th grader is interested in helping on Monday, please email Development Associate  Amanda Scherer , by Friday morning at 10 a.m.

Update from the Admissions Department

Our 2019-2020 recruitment season is well underway. We already have 11 applications for kindergarten next year and are booking tours into November. Please encourage friends and neighbors to attend our upcoming Information Evening on Tuesday, October 23 at 7 p.m. Word-of-mouth marketing is the best (and most influential) kind. Thank you for helping Heilicher continue to grow and thrive.
Bring the Change - For Victims of Hurricane Florence & Michael

All students can participate by collecting change in their own bags. Please bring the coin donations to the box in the front office.  Third-grade students were sent home with plastic zippered bags on Monday, October 8. Bags of change will be collected on next Wednesday, October 17 in the students' classrooms.

Students are learning about hurricanes in their science class and have acquired a deep understanding of the level of devastation these events can cause. As Hurricane Florence (and now Hurricane Michael) struck the east coast, we began to think about what we could do to help. We have also been learning about t'shuvah and t'zedakah, and decided to dedicate ourselves to helping those affected by these storms. Funds will be donated to Operation Nechama, a local organization that is assisting with clean up.
