This weekend’s Roar Before the Rolex 24 At Daytona is proving to be one of the largest of all time with 47 cars and more than 150 drivers on the entry list for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

Among those to participate in the three-day test session is Townsend Bell, who is returning as a full-time driver in the IMSA WeatherTech Championship after three-years of part-time activity. Bell, a former Skip Barber Racing driver and recent color commentator for NBC Sports, will share the No. 12 AIM VASSER SULLIVAN Lexus RC F GT3 with Frankie Montecalvo for the entire 2019 WeatherTech Championship season in the GTD class.

The Roar will also officially launch IMSA's 50th Anniversary Celebration, which will take place throughout 2019 and at Lime Rock Park's Northeast Gran Prix. Fans can share their IMSA memories on social media using the hashtag #IMSA50.

In addition, this weekend serves as the official unveiling for Michelin’s new relationship as the “Official Tire of IMSA.” All 47 WeatherTech Championship race cars will be riding on Michelin tires throughout the 2019 season, in addition to 40 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge machines.
