In the New Age community, much has been written in these last few years of the shift in consciousness and vibration that the Earth and its inhabitants are undertaking. As part of the process of coming into greater Truth, things that were hidden have been emerging and coming to the surface. Some of these hidden aspects have been surprising, shocking, even alarming, for some.
Many regardless of background, beliefs, and personalities are finding this process uncomfortable.
I have always liked the story of the growing lobster. Perhaps you have heard it? When a lobster grows and its shell becomes to tight, the lobster grows increasingly uncomfortable. This discomfort becomes the catalyst that encourages the lobster to leave the constricting shell behind and create a shell to accommodate the new growth more comfortably. In many ways, we are seeing this uncomfortable catalyst igniting among our friends, families, ourselves, and in our group consciousness manifestations.
I thought I would use this newsletter to reach out to those having a difficult time finding peace amidst this mass shifting.
Often, as people grow uncomfortable, they may lash out, act out, seek attention, self-sooth or practice coping skills – both disturbing to others or not. This is typical, until the later stages of acceptance, metamorphosis, understanding are achieved.
When I was a child, I was called “sensitive”, as Empath, was not a word tossed around in general society. An
Empath or Sensitive person is one who has a highly developed clairsentient skill which allows them to experience the emotions of others very clearly, often as if these emotions are their own.
I would venture a guess that a good portion of you reading this newsletter now, can relate to that description, to varying degrees. In fact the presence of Empathy is so natural to our human nature, that its absence is considered a Mental Illness (psychopath or sociopath).
Empaths may be gentle, kind, advocate for the under-privledged, have difficulty watching the news, have trouble letting go of a witnessed experience – either through media or in front of them,
easily overwhelmed in crowds or emotionally charged situations, sensitive to telepathy and animal communication, hurt when they know others are hurting, etc.
You may have noticed that over the years your Empathic skills have become even more heightened, as well as an increase in Sensitive children born, today.
What is the purpose of the Empaths in this revolution that is unfolding both within and around us?
Traditionally in an incarnation, the Soul takes on a body which defines self by gender identification, appearance, religious or spiritual views, family relationships, educational prospects, career, values, and financial resources. These become aspects of the filter that we perceive our Divine self through. We learn through these lenses, through polarity, and through the relationship of our lens to others' lenses.
An empath, however, as a Soul, has discarded the traditional need to see through a single lens and is choosing to simultaneously experience life through not merely their own but others lenses, in the quest for common truth.
This path when nurtured, gifts the receiver, with an incredible capacity for compassion, wisdom, and teaching energy – as a bridge between different understandings. (Many empaths find themselves in healing fields, medical fields, artists, musicians, veterinary services, etc.)
These same skills also allow Empaths to feel a connection with the kingdoms which communicate non-verbally – plants, crystals, etc.
The purpose of the Empathic Soul, on some level is to
*Identify Universal Truth
*Experience Unity and Oneness
*Find Unity in Universal Truth
*Lead others to Universal Truth
*Help those suffering through sharing wisdom
*be a bridge between realities and understanding
*To convert collective experience into Wisdom
On occasion, an Empath may lose their way when they become overwhelmed with others emotions, particularly when not grounding or taking care of their own energy. At times, this imbalance occurs when the Empath begins to shift from observer and truth seeker to taking responsibility for all the emotion that they feel – especially other's. This also occurs when the Empath focuses on the small details, the microcosm and isn't expanding out to the larger perspective. It is important now more than ever to remember the gifts and Soul purpose of the Empath and bring these gifts back to balance where needed.
To be your best empathic self: spend time in nature, turn off the news, discern your own sense of Truth from what you have learned and create a foundation, cleanse your energy regularly, give yourself Reiki self-treatments or receive Reiki, de-personalize and ask questions from a broader perspective, be in the now moment, bring forward your own guiding light of truth and look for an outlet for sharing this with others, acknowledge the strength of your heart and the resiliency of unconditional love, Share with like minds. Healthy diet and exercise also help the body to naturally release toxins and stagnant energy more readily.
Your self-care is a critical component to being your best self and in discerning the truth that the Empath seeks.
