The Clinical and Translational Science Institute at Children's National (CTSI-CN) has released three new pilot RFAs for community engagement, discovery, and translation acceleration. Letters of Intent are due November 15.
The Milken Institute School of Public Health at GW recently announced a $1.2 million grant from NIH to examine marketing strategies used by Philip Morris International to sell a new tobacco product. Carla Berg, PhD, MBA will co-lead the 3-year study.
November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month, and according to the American Cancer Society, more than 220,000 new cases of the disease are diagnosed each year. The GW Cancer Center has various experts who can speak on topics related to lung cancer.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an annual event in October to raise awareness about the disease and focus on prevention, screening, treatment and survivorship. Several experts from across the GW Cancer Center were recently interviewed this month, including Rachel Brem, MD, and Rebecca Kaltman, MD.
