Well, it appears winter has well and truly arrived!

Our operations team managed the 2019 Stormwater Victoria Conference last week in Marysville, Victoria, experiencing face freezing lows of 5 degrees. Very little green could be seen under a blanket of snow and the team may have wished they had worn their ski gear for this one!

Whether hosting an event in the heat of Darwin or freezing temperatures of Australia's highlands, we are always up for the challenge!

Vibe Hotel Marysville - Victoria

From the Gold Coast sunshine to the snowfields of Victoria - Having just enjoyed the Queensland sunshine at the 2019 AusCERT Cyber Security Conference held at the Marriott Surfers Paradise from the 28 th – 31 st May, our operations team headed off to Marysville in Victoria for the 2019 Stormwater Victoria Conference. The Conference was held at the Vibe Hotel from the 3 rd – 5 th June and we were greeted with an early snowfall.
Having been devastated by the Black Saturday fires in 2009, the town of Marysville has been rebuilt and the Vibe Conference Centre is a fantastic venue for conferences up to 250 delegates. 

Stunning food, state of the art equipment and charming surroundings make this venue a superb venue for conferencing. For our Conference Coordinator, Jess Newmarch, it was also her first chance to experience snow in Australia, which was a highlight of the job. If you are planning a regional event in Victoria, keep this wonderful property in mind.

Each of these areas provided numerous insights and made us more aware of the changing trends and directions in our profession as a Professional Conference Organiser. Particularly with the rise in integration of technology, the pace of change in the business events space is faster than it’s ever been.
We also understand the importance of making professional development fun and engaging when we deliver a Conference, so we ensure that through the events we attend, we are on the look out for inspiration to re-energize our creativity and translate it into something we can deliver for our clients.
