How to Stay Connected with the SBDC
During UW-Madison COVID-19 Closures
With continuous news coverage on COVID-19, our team here in the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) - like many of you - have been discussing how we can help support our clients and our mission in the midst of many cancellations.

As you may have heard, UW-Madison has transferred our for-credit courses to an online format and asked undergraduates to stay at their permanent residences until April 10 following spring break. In addition, campus has cancelled all non-essential events on campus until at least April 10.

In light of these cancellations, we have made the following changes:

SBDC In-Person Classes
We will be working to reschedule most in-person SBDC classes scheduled to take place through the month of April. We are looking to reschedule classes between May 28-June 30th. There are two exceptions:
  • Our Biz Smart/ETP class will be cancelled for this semester
  • Our SHRM course participants will be able to take a live, online version of the course during scheduled class times through at least April 10th.

You will receive additional communications if you are currently enrolled for these courses.

SBDC Business Consulting Appointments
If you are currently scheduled to meet with an SBDC consultant, your meeting will still take place at the scheduled time. Your consultant will reach out to you regarding use of virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, GoTo Meeting, Google Hangouts, etc.) or phone call options. We are not offering in-person consulting appointments at this time. Virtual appointments will continue through at least April 10th; we will update you if that date is extended per campus policy.
The Wisconsin SBDC Network is a proud part of the  Institute for Business & Entrepreneurship  in the  University of Wisconsin System . It is funded in part through a Cooperative Agreement with the  U.S. Small Business Administration.
