The Hiott family went out in the morning and came back with a boat load of sheepshead with Capt. Chase Norwood and first-mate, Zach Bunkley.

Charlotte reeled in a big sheepshead that she caught using fiddler crabs.

Capt. Brett Molzen and his crew came back with a perfect board of redfish and trout.

Zach Simpson, one of our forklift operators, snuck off for some afternoon fishing, where he caught this hefty trout.

Capt. Les Hernandez and his crew rescued this turtle after finding it wrapped up in fishing line. He was safely untangled and released in great condition. Capt. Les wanted to spread awareness to keep your trash in your boat and to not leave a fishing rod unattended.

The 20th Annual Steinhatchee Community Fishing Tournament will be on March 19th, THIS WEEKEND. Weigh-in at the Community Center.

Our local Taylor County Sheriff's Office Deputy, Troy Anderson, was shot three times while on a traffic stop on the night of February 22nd. Deputy Anderson was flown to Shand’s Hospital and was treated for gunshot wounds to the neck, hand and jaw.

The suspect who fired on Deputy Anderson, fled the scene but was later shot and killed that night after breaking into a Dixie County residence and exchanging gunfire with the homeowner, Wayne Pert. Mr. Pert suffered a bullet wound to his shoulder and is in the process of recovering as well.

To help raise money for the two heroes, we are doing a March Madness Raffle Prize! Tickets are $5.00 each and can be bought via VENMO, CASHAPP or in-store at Sea Hag Marina!

Winner will be announced April 1st and ALL proceeds will go to the heroes!

Austin Amundsen caught one of the biggest Pink Mouth Grunts (Florida Snapper) we've seen in our area! He fished out of Keaton Beach and the fish weighed 10.5lbs and was nearly 27 inches long.
