REcolorado and the NAR Settlement
Update: Changes Take Effect August 15
|
|
To be sure all changes related to the NAR Settlement are in alignment, we have coordinated with our MLS vendor to remove all references to compensation within the MLS starting August 15, coinciding with the release of the DORA Commission-Approved contracts and forms. Now there will be no “gap period” between compensation removal from the MLS and the release of the revised DORA commission forms and contracts. We hope that by aligning with the release of these forms, you’ll experience a smoother and more efficient transition, allowing you to continue your work without any interruptions or confusion.

Report: Only 6% of Black and Hispanic Renting Households Can Afford to Buy in Colorado

In Colorado, the homeownership rate was 70% for White Americans in 2022, followed by 42% for Black Americans, 65% for Asian Americans and 57% for Hispanic Americans.
The share of Colorado renter households that can afford to buy the typical home is 10% for White Americans, 6% for Black Americans, 15% for Asian Americans, and 6% for Hispanic Americans, further highlighting the affordability challenges faced by most Coloradans who aim to purchase a home.

REcolorado and the NAR Settlement Update: Changes
Take Effect on August 15
REcolorado

REcolorado opted-in to the NAR Settlement earlier this year to protect our MLS from liability in the lawsuit. This will not change, even if REcolorado becomes a privately-owned MLS.
To align with the release of revised Colorado forms, changes stipulated in the settlement will now begin taking effect in the REcolorado MLS system August 15.
