Resources to Navigate Practice Changes for You and Your Clients
National Association of REALTORS®
|
NAR excited to share that they are rolling out new resources for Members and their clients to help them navigate the practice changes. They will focus on various aspects of working with an agent who is a REALTOR®.
The first in this series is a one-page, consumer-friendly guide on written buyer agreements: what they are, why consumers will be asked to sign them, and how they help create clarity and transparency at the start of a relationship between a buyer and their real estate professional. The resource, which is designed to be given directly to consumers during these discussions, is part of NAR’s ongoing campaign to help our members promote clarity and transparency with the consumers they serve.
Answering buyers who have questions about the settlement
How to accept and adapt to change

An already slow summer housing market pumps the brakes a bit more in July as inventory grows but buyers choose to stay on the sideline
Colorado Association of REALTORS
| An already slow summer housing market pumped the brakes a little more in July as higher mortgage interest rates and a hesitant pool of buyers pushed the inventory of active listings up approximately 20% in both the seven-county Denver metro area and in markets across the state, according to the latest Market Trends Housing Report from the Colorado Association of REALTORS® (CAR) and analysis from the Association’s spokespersons across Colorado. | |

A BIG WIN for Real Estate at the Legislature this Week!
REcolorado
|
As the legislature wrestles with a number of proposals related to property taxes in a special session, one bad idea was defeated this evening thanks in large part to testimony from a number of REALTORS including SMDRA members.
HB1002 would have created sub classes of property ownership and excluded non primary residence properties (Second homes, income properties, etc.) from any tax relief coming out of the special session. it had similar language to proposition HH that was soundly defeated by voters in November of 2022 and would have undone a compromise that was reached earlier this year with Senate bill 233. The bill was "temporarily passed" - which means it dies on the desk without an official vote in the House Appropriations Committee.
It is still unclear as to what proposals will come out of this legislative session, but thanks to hard work of REALTORS and many others, a bad idea will not advance.
This type of legislative advocacy lies at the core of what our association works hard to do - protect our members and protect the real estate industry.
Many thanks to all the REALTORS who testified today!
