Fort Bend County Epicenter
On April 19th, STOA reached a significant milestone in regards to the Fort Bend County Epicenter. STOA architects of record met with county officials, and the project was well received by county officials as well as the county judge. We are proud and excited to announce that the foundation is halfway finished and there is a lot of enthusiasm surrounding the Epicenter's construction.

Welcoming Our New Hires
Our company has grown once again and we welcome the knowledge, skills and abilities the new hires bring to the table. Please welcome Bill, Phillip, Deandra, Peihan and Joan to STOA Architects!
Bill Hudgens was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas and graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor's in Architecture in 1970. He began working for architects in 1963 and has worked full-time since then. His hobbies include motorcycles, music and woodworking. He is currently happily married and has three children.
Phillip Le is a fourth-year with an Architecture major and Construction Management minor at the University of Houston. He is one of the top student officers at college as the Director of AIAS Freedom by Design. He has been working at STOA Architects for 7 months and looks forward to continuously contributing for the firm.
Joan Ku is a 3rd year architecture student at the University of Houston. She is interested in all forms of art, especially in architecture. She likes to feel the atmosphere and the spirit of a space. In her free time, she enjoys all kinds of music from classical music to black metal.
Deandra Smith was hired by STOA Architects mid-March 2022. She has studied at the University of Florida for undergraduate studies and Rice University for graduate studies. She is from Hawaii and enjoys chai tea lattes and coffee.
Peihan Lin is a STOA Architect Intern since September 2021. She graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Architecture degree and is a current graduate student at Rice University Architecture School. In her spare time she likes creating, especially crocheting and cooking.

Pines at Bellaire Phase II

The Pines at Bellaire project is a senior managed care facility aimed at the Asian senior citizen community. It has three stories and is fully staffed with assisted living and a memory care wing for dementia and Alzheimer's patients. The property will also feature a traditional Chinese garden space.
Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts Remodel Feasibility Studies
The scope of work for the feasibility studies was concentrated in three main areas of the existing museum:
  • building expansion for needed classrooms and workshop
  • exterior improvements to the front elevation for enhanced identification of the museum
  • existing courtyard between the museum and the Bush Library to be infilld to accommodate a new makerspace
