Dear St. Martin’s Alumni,

We closed out September with a Homecoming weekend that perfectly captured Saints spirit, from the Alumni Athletic Hall of Fame Induction honoring athletes and coaches from the ’70s–’90s, to the Fall Fellowship Cookout reconnecting Saints from the ’60s through the Class of 2025, and a thrilling 40–22 victory over McMain.

Looking ahead, mark your calendars for Alumni Weekend, April 17–18, 2026 featuring Alumni Chapel, campus tours, class reunions, playdates, a 50+ Year Alumni Luncheon, and our beloved Alumni Spirits Party Crawfish Boil, honoring all Saints and especially those celebrating milestone reunions, whose grad years ended in 6s and 1s.

This year, we’re taking a more focused approach to storytelling, spotlighting the many ways Saints are leading in their fields. This issue features alumni in Healthcare and Applied Sciences, just a glimpse of the incredible paths our graduates have taken. If we haven’t yet connected with you, we’d love to hear how your St. Martin’s experience helped shape your journey.

Finally, please consider nominating a fellow Saint for one of our highest honors:

  • The Martin de Tours Award, recognizing professional excellence and service to others
  • The Dorothy Porter Service Award, honoring a devoted faculty member or friend of St. Martin’s

Submit nominations via email here.

Thank you for staying connected, supporting our school, and keeping the Saints spirit alive. I’m deeply proud of the work happening on campus and grateful for each of you who make this community so special.

With gratitude,

Whitney Samuel Drennan ’94

Fun Fact: Homecoming 2006

Celebrating Champions: Hall of Fame Honors the Best of Saints Spirit

The Alumni Athletic Hall of Fame ceremony on Friday, September 26 was filled with pride and emotion as alumni, family, and friends gathered to honor three remarkable additions to the Alumni Athletic Hall of Fame. From the 1974-75 football team’s legendary season to the record-setting accomplishments of 1997’s Billy Coleman and JaJuan Gair, the morning was a true celebration of Saints excellence, and a reminder that Faith, Scholarship, and Service continue to unite and inspire our community.

Fall Fellowship Welcomes Back Saints of All Ages

Our Saints showed up in full force for this year’s Fall Fellowship! Alumni from the 1960s through the Class of 2025 gathered with their families on the Lower School Back Playground for great food, even better company, and plenty of Saints spirit. With perfect weather and a crowd full of energy, it was the ideal way to reconnect. reminisce, and celebrate before cheering on the Saints at the Homecoming game.

Decades Reunion: 1990s & 2000s Alumni Connect at The Columns

What a night! Our ’90s & early 2000s Alumni Decades Party was a success, filled with familiar faces, laughter, and plenty of nostalgia as we flipped through old yearbooks and reconnected over favorite memories. A big thank-you to Bobby Quintal ’06 and the crew at The Columns Hotel for being such a gracious host and a great spot to reminisce. Our 2010s & 2020s alumni are next, email the Alumni Office to learn more.

From the classroom to the clinic, St. Martin’s alumni are making a profound impact through lives dedicated to healing and service. Many trace their inspiration back to moments on Green Acres and to teachers who sparked curiosity, challenged them to think critically, and nurtured a desire to help others. Today, so many of our Saints serve as physicians, veterinarians, nurses, dentists, and researchers across the country, each carrying forward the school’s values of faith, scholarship, and service. Their stories reflect not only professional excellence, but also the enduring spirit of compassion and purpose that defines a St. Martin’s education.

We had the opportunity to connect with many of these Saints recently to understand what aspects of their St. Martin’s student career had the strongest influence on their decisions to care for others, and many were quick to credit the teachers who went above and beyond, who inspired, and who built upon the school's foundation of Faith, Scholarship, and Service. The list is far from complete as St. Martin’s graduates continue to make their mark in every corner of medicine. Each has a story of inspiration that began here, in classrooms where dedicated teachers helped them see what was possible.

St. Martin's Golf Tournament November 7, 2025

Tee up for a great cause! The annual Golf Tournament is more than just a day on the green, it's an opportunity to champion our scholar athletes and help fuel the thriving StM athletics program to ensure the success of future Saints. Your support helps provide essential funding for expenses like new uniforms and equipment, travel, facility improvements, and much more.

Save the Date for Alumni Weekend!

We encourage all classes to return to campus and plan their reunions during Alumni Weekend, which includes Alumni Chapel and the annual Alumni Spirits Party Crawfish Boil. For the 2025-26 school year, we will be celebrating Friday, April 17 - Saturday, April 18, 2026! All alumni are invited, and we're especially celebrating those milestone classes who graduated in years ending in 6's and 1's!

Every Saint remembers the feeling of belonging at St. Martin’s, where Faith, Scholarship, and Service shaped not only our education, but who we became. Our beautiful, 18-acre campus of opportunity still opens doors for students to learn, grow, and lead with purpose. Share that spirit by inviting a family to our upcoming Open House, or simply forward this newsletter to someone who deserves to know what makes St. Martin’s so special. #AlwaysASaint

We understand that the loss of a classmate or beloved teacher is deeply felt by our alumni community. This “in memoriam” section is designed to keep our StM family informed in between issues of The Bell. To ensure a Saint’s legacy is honored, we encourage you to submit obituaries to the Alumni Office so the school can pay tribute to their lives and contributions within our alumni network. If you wish to establish a perpetual memorial fund in memory of a classmate or teacher, our Alumni Office can assist you. Thank you for helping us keep our community connected and the memory of our Saints alive.

Homecoming 2006 Looked a Little Different

Due to Hurricane Katrina, the Homecoming Game for the Class of 2006 was a soccer game instead of the more traditional football matchup on Tony Porter Field. The Saints enjoyed a 11-0 win over Country Day!
