LBW Generates $60.8 million for regional economy

According to an independent report by Lightcast, a global leader in labor market analytics, students and alumni of LBW Community College contributed $60.8 million to the College's service area economy, an amount equal to one out of every 64 jobs.

LBW Community College to Host Annual Student Art Exhibition

LBW Community College is proud to announce its annual Student Art Exhibition, showcasing the creativity and talent of students in drawing, painting, and mixed media. The Exhibition will be held in the McWhorter Learning Resource Center art gallery on the Andalusia campus and will be open to the public from April 24 through May 1, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM daily.

Congratulations to LBW Athletic Director & Baseball Coach, Steve Helms!

The NJCAA has announced its first ever honorees for the Coaches Legacy Awards presented by Nufabrx, which recognizes the all-time winningest coaches in NJCAA history.

Nearly 200 coaches across 28 different sports were nominated by the member colleges at which they coached.

All honorees will be recognized at a special luncheon on Tuesday, June 17, in Charlotte, North Carolina.

LBW's Kelley recognized with Phi Theta Kappa Hall of Honor Award - The Andalusia Star-News

LBW Community College President Dr. Brock Kelley was recently presented with the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society's Alumni Hall of Honor Award for the Alabama Region. LBW instructor and Alpha Beta Eta chapter PTK advisor Shannan Spurlin and chapter officers nominated him for the award.

Congratulations to Mollie Waters and her husband, Ronald, on the birth of their first grandchild. Evangeline “Evie” Marie McLain was born on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 10:43 p.m. weighing 5 lbs. 13 oz. 19” long. Proud parents are Katelin and Maddox McLain.

Also, Congratulations to Mrs. Waters on her role as Miss Stephanie in the production of "To Kill a Mockingbird." She will perform April 4th, 5th, 12th, 25th and May 3rd.

Ricky Knight, Head Basketball Coach

LBW Community College and LBW Athletics honored Coach Ricky Knight for an incredible milestone in college athletics at a retirement recognition last month.

"Coach Knight has been an integral part of the Saints Family since 1985 and is a true legend," said LBW President, Dr. Brock Kelley. "His impact on players' lives is immeasurable and he is a pillar of this community."

Coach Knight will officially retire from the College on May 29.
