President's Message
First and foremost, I want to express my sincere appreciation to all faculty and staff. During the Spring of 2020, we embarked on the first annual LBW on Tour, a vision of Mrs. Heather Owen, and this was a pivotal moment in our recruitment process. We were able to display what we can offer, and I received many compliments on our effort to reach the students in our region. This tour had a tremendous and measurable impact on our summer enrollment. This yearโ€™s summer enrollment surpassed our goal by approximately 200 credit hours and is the second most credit hour production we have logged in the past several years. Those numbers do not go unnoticed as we sat once again in the top 5 across the state in growth. It is because of you and your dedication to our students and community that we can see growth even during an unprecedented year. Nonetheless, we cannot be satisfied, and we will continue to innovate our processes and procedures regarding recruitment, retention, and enrollment.

It is with great excitement to announce that the ASPIRE 2030 proposal has been submitted, and we hope to be awarded our financial request in the Fall. We are in the process of purchasing new technology for the classrooms for each of our campuses and will continue to increase our technology across all four locations in multiple areas in the coming months.

We are in the process of establishing a campus police force. The safety of everyone is of top concern for me, and we hope to have everything in place very soon. Recently, I signed a contract with Alertus which will be another tool we can use to help safeguard us from an unlikely event. More information will follow on the Alertus System.

Lastly, I want to thank everyone who took part in the recent survey. Your feedback is invaluable, and these surveys help establish patterns of concern or patterns of progress. Feedback on both sides is essential for LBW to be the best college for our community. However, I remind you that my door is always open, and you do not have to wait for a survey. We are in this together, and I am committed to moving LBW forward.
Have a Happy & Safe Fourth of July!
Congratulations
