Director's Update | April 23, 2020
Having completed my first month as Executive Director for The Salem Pantry, I am reflecting on this new work and the timing of my onboarding. Stepping into this leadership role during a pandemic, I have been inspired, challenged, determined and much more. I quickly discovered that, even though I am Salem Pantry's first full-time E.D., the leadership and passion of our supporters runs deep. Our small Pantry staff, board members, volunteers, donors and advocates' resilience is making The Salem Pantry's urgent work possible right now. While COVID-19 continues to impact Salem, your steady support enables us to provide consistent food access for our community during these difficult times.

With gratitude,
Robyn
COVID-19 Response
The Salem Pantry truck picked up 21,000 lbs of food last week to distribute through our Mobile Markets, Family Grocery Assistance Program and Household Deliveries to vulnerable community members.

Volunteer Spotlight
Our program week is now steady Tuesday to Saturday each week ( every other Saturday for the Espacio Mobile Market ) in providing services during COVID-19. Partners like Edwin from the Salem YMCA and community volunteers like Glen make these distribution sites run each day!
