Best Wishes to our Crew Supervisor, Stephen Berkey

It’s with pride that we say “best wishes” to our incredible Crew Supervisor, Stephen Berkey, who will be transitioning into a new role as the Building Value Construction Training Program Instructor at the Easterseals Redwood main office in Walnut Hills.

Starting this month, Stephen will be providing one-on-one instruction to new cohorts entering the construction training program—offering hands-on lessons in power tools, construction basics, and the life skills needed for success in the trades.

Thank you, Stephen, for your service, your mentorship, and your unwavering commitment to building a stronger community. We’re going to miss you at the shop and thrilled to know you’re still part of the Building Value family!

New in Store: The Fleischmann Estate Room

Tucked away in a dedicated corner of our store is a space unlike any other—a curated showcase of craftsmanship, legacy, and timeless design. We call it The Fleischmann Estate Room, and it’s one of the most extraordinary collections we’ve ever had the privilege of salvaging.

The Fleischmann family name carries weight in Cincinnati’s cultural and philanthropic history, and their estate was no exception. When Building Value was selected to deconstruct portions of the estate, we knew immediately that this would be a project of special importance.

At the heart of the collection is a stunning selection of original works by Ted Gantz, a Cincinnati-based artist whose work is as inventive as it is rare. His work spans sculptural ironwork, abstract furniture, and architectural salvage, blending industrial materials with artistic expression. They stand as a testament to Cincinnati’s artistic talent and the rich creative history the city continues to foster, and we’re proud to have them here at Building Value.

In January, we launched a new color-coded pricing system designed to make shopping easier and savings even better! Since then, we have assigned a different color for newly priced items, and as time goes on, those items will move through a discount cycle.

▸Each month, new items will be tagged with a specific color.

▸Those items will start at full price in their first month.

▸Every month after that, they’ll receive a bigger discount—giving shoppers great opportunities to save!
