New Emergency Shelter

You are invited to join us in the grand opening of The Salvation Army's newly remodeled emergency shelter November 21.  The opening ceremony is at 10:00 a.m. at 818 E Third St. Santa Ana, CA 92701 and is followed by tours of the facility and refreshments. The new shelter located in Santa Ana will house 75 men with opportunity for case management, job search and life skills training.

Two years ago, I was in an abusive marriage that I thought I could not leave.  One year ago, I did not think I would survive after leaving.  I was homeless and unsure of where to begin, where to start over.  I did not trust anybody and I thought I could not be helped.  I had given up all hope that I would be able to survive and take care of my two sons.  Now, I feel differently.  I am strong, I am confident.  I feel like a flower that is just beginning to blossom.  I can live again.  I love to come home with my two beautiful sons after a full day of work and attending school at a local college.  I have met people that are willing to walk along side me while I achieve my dreams.

ANGEL TREE
gifts for children ages 0-12 and low income seniors

Sponsors purchase age appropriate gifts for under privileged children age 0-12 years or low income seniors in Orange County. The average gift is $15. Angel tags will be available the first week of November. Purchased gifts are delivered to our Christmas warehouse between December 5-14. See our Angel Tree flier for additional information. 
The Christmas warehouse is located at Angel Stadium of Anaheim (2000 E Gene Autry Way Anaheim, CA 92806). The Christmas warehouse is located to the right of Gate 6. Parents will select toys for their children in our Toy & Joy Shop December 19-20. 




ADOPT A FAMILY
gifts for the entire family

Sponsors adopt a family to purchase two new gifts for each child age 0-12 (teens and parent/guardian optional) and a grocery gift card for the family. Adopt A Family information will be available the first week of November. 

Purchased gifts are delivered to our Christmas warehouse on December 11. The Christmas warehouse is located at Angel Stadium of Anaheim (2000 E Gene Autry Way Anaheim, CA 92806). Through a partnership with Communigift, Adopt A Family gifts can be purchased on-line and sent directly to our location. In November go to The Salvation Army Orange County web site for the link to Communigift specifically for The Salvation Army in Orange County.

TOY & FOOD DRIVES
put food on the table for a child or senior

Toy Drives: Collect new toys for children age 0-12 at your location. The toys are delivered to our Christmas warehouse between December 5-14. Collection boxes are available upon request.

Canned Food Drives: Collect non-perishable food for distribution to low-income seniors in Orange County.  The food is delivered to our Christmas warehouse between December 5-16. Collection boxes are available upon request.

Grocery Gift Card Drive:  Collect Grocery Gift Cards in $20, $30 and $50 denominations for families and seniors in our Angel Tree program.   The grocery gift cards are delivered to our County Office between December 5-14.

  • Group or individual bell ringing at our iconic Red Kettle stands around Orange County proceeds support local programs. November 18 to December 24.
  • Sort toys and non-perishable food at our Toy and Joy warehouse located at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. December 5 to 16.
  • Help parents shop for Christmas gifts at our Toy and Joy warehouse December 19-20. Distribute Adopt a Family gifts on December 17 at our Toy and Joy warehouse at Angels Stadium of Anaheim.
