Honduras Mission Trip Informational Meeting

Operation Christmas Child Kicks

Off on Sunday, September 24!

We will have boxes for you to take home to fill with goodies for Operation Christmas Child on Sunday, September 24! Each box will have a list of suggested items and items to avoid. Packed boxes are due back at the church by Sunday, October 22.

Remember that each child only gets ONE shoebox in their life… so let’s make it a great shoebox for each child! Choose a quality item, like a soccer ball, a doll, or a stuffed animal, and then pack as much as you can around it. Each box makes a difference!

We will be packing meals for Rise Against Hunger on Sunday, October 22 at 1 p.m. in the Family Life Center. As always, we will need many volunteers for this event. We have a goal of packing 15,000 meals. These meals will go around the world to feed the hungry in different countries.

To prepare for this event, we are working to raise $3600 to purchase the needed food and packing supplies. We need your help! We will be collecting donations to help reach our goal! Please mark your donation "Rise Against Hunger' and put it in the offering plate on Sunday or drop it by the church office.

Perry UMC Primetime invites you to celebrate Old Christmas in the mountains. Take a step back in time for an elegant 1895 Christmastide!

Illuminated with candles and soft lights, the Biltmore House will appear as it did during the 1895 Christmastide, when the expansive manor was officially opened by George Vanderbilt. View the home by candlelight, then return in daylight to tour the massive grounds of the estate. 

Other highlights of the trip will include a guided tour of historical Asheville, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the internationally-known Folk Art Center. Three days and two nights at the East Asheville Holiday Inn. All meals included through White Star Tours except the three lunches which will be dutch treat.  

This trip cost $545.00 per person for double occupancy and $694.00 for single occupancy.

This trip will be $450 per youth and $400 per adult/chaperone which includes skiing. If your child is interested in attending this trip but not skiing, please contact Nichole at 478-230-2237.

We will have a parent meeting for parents, youth and chaperones who are interested in

attending this trip on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at

5 p.m. in the Youth Center.

Meet at Dooly Campground at 4 p.m. for an afternoon of fun! We will have games on the court and 8-sided volleyball before gathering around the fire for worship and a weenie roast complete with smores!

We will head to the tabernacle at 7 p.m. to watch our own Rev. Tom preach at the Camp Dooly Campmeeting!

Parent pickup will be at Dooly at 8:15 p.m.
