As the second semester is underway, we want to stay partnered with families and students around success! Whether it be about accessing the right extra-curricular opportunity for the spring, supporting daily attendance, or receiving extra academic support, we want to share some the following resources to help make second semester one of achievement and success!

Over the weekend our Ferris Dance Team hosted the District Dance Competiton. 16 schools competed 40+ routines in various categories including show, dance, pom, military, kick, hip hop and drill downs. Congratulations to Saxon Dance for qualifying in the military category for STATE DANCE! State is March 22-23, 2024 at the Yakima Sundome. Way to go, girls! We are cheering for you!

Saxon Sports Headlines

Ferris Dance Team is on to State! The team qualified last weekend with their Military routine. State is March 22-23 in Yakima. Let's go, girls!


Washington State Women's Rowing is putting on a free one-day camp on Friday, March 8th 2024! It is open to female students grades 9 - 12 and not only can they tour the academic and athletic buildings, but they can also learn to row in the indoor rowing tank. Check out more details here!

NECA/IBEW Student Athletes


The GSL is proud to announce our fall and winter NECA/IBEW GSL award winners. The National Electrical Contractors Association and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers are proud to present the annual recognition of these fine scholar athletes from the GSL schools. The next Hispanic Honor Society meeting will be on Friday, March 22 in M 308 at 7:30 am, with a repeat meeting at 2:30 pm. Please plan to attend and communicate with an officer or Sra. Gower if you cannot. See you there. ¡Gracias! 


All students should carry their student ID cards with them at all times. When leaving campus, students need to have a pass, and upon return need to check in at the office with their pass.


Homework Center is open to all grade levels, the center is staffed by experienced educators and tutors who are passionate about fostering student success. To access, students are free to show up after school from 3:00 – 4:00 Monday through Wednesday. While we do not have an activity bus for after school transportation, the STA can be accessed as a route home.

Coed Cheer Tryouts are coming! There is a parent/athlete information meeting in the commons at 6:00 pm. Tryout clinics will be held April 15-17, and tryouts are on April 18. All current 8th -11th grade students are eligible to try out for the 2024-2025 cheer team.
