SILENT BUT SERIOUS: DEPRESSION IN THE WORKPLACE
You can't afford to ignore it. Yet many employees don't seek treatment because of the stigma that accompanies depression.

More than 9.5 percent of the population (or 19 million adults) are afflicted by this mental health illness.

It's impact on the economy is glaring: untreated depression costs as much as either heart disease or AIDS. It's $51 billion price tag is accrued through absenteeism, lost or decreased productivity, and problems with decision-making, memory, and concentration.
