MCNAMARA JOINS SAIA BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR REGION 2
James McNamara, third-generation owner of Safety Scaffolds, Inc., and co-chair of the Supported Scaffold Council, joins the SAIA Board of Directors (BOD) for Region 2 (New Jersey, New York, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands).

As the region’s newest representative, McNamara wants to pay forward all the help and support he has received from SAIA members over the past 18 years. He believes that his experience as a scaffolding contractor, plus more than a decade of attending and participating in association and industry events, will be of benefit in his new role.

When asked how the SAIA can add value to its membership in the future, McNamara said the “newly formed APEX [Council] is a step in the right direction.” He says the wealth of experience and expertise among current, active members also needs to be passed on to future generations – a process he expresses interest in helping to facilitate.

McNamara also predicts that the training and education components offered through the SAIA University and SAIA Education Foundation will continue to grow and be sought out by industry professionals, both inside and outside of the Association.

Safety Scaffolds, Inc. , a family-owned business founded in 1954 and headquartered in Branchville, N.J., has been a member of the SAIA for more than 20 years. The company also serves as an Accredited Training Institute.
