Make The Most Out Of Spring Break!
Make the most out of spring break through discovery and fun at the Science Center!   Spring camp features hands-on activities in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math for grades K-5.  During the Spring Into Science camp (K-2) students will have an eco-friendly staycation learning basic physics concepts, flying drones and visiting the planetarium.  They will also become outdoor explorers learning about nature and horticulture.  Art is everywhere!  During the Art and Science camp (Grades 3-5) students will explore art concepts as they relate to nature and the world around them.  They will also learn about the connection between art, science and everyday items with creative, hands-on activities.  As a very special bonus, the group will visit the Dali Museum and make art come to life!  For more information or to register, please visit the Science Center website.
SEND A CHILD TO SPRING CAMP!

 Thank you ...
Thomas A. & Mary S. James Foundation!

As an  Explorer Level contributor, the Thomas A. & Mary S. James Foundation is  sponsoring the " Rock Out" class.  In this introduction to petrology class, students learn about rocks, minerals and fossils.  This gift makes it possible for the Science Center to meet its mission of providing fun, hands-on, educational STEM experiences for children.

Linda Melvin
Volunteer Spotlight

Linda has spent countless hours hand-crafting bookmarkers for the "Live It Up" class.  In addition, she reaches out to her friends, neighbors and others to gather supplies such as water bottles, newspaper and paper towel tubes.  These supplies are up-cycled and used in many of the STEM projects.

Thank you, Linda!
