your faith and connect with our community.

The Conversation Continues

Town Hall Community Meeting, Sunday Apr 14, 12:00pm
Join members of the Board and the Transition Steering Committee (TSC) for an update on planning for our future; an update on the budget and pledge drive; to accept and approve nomination (in absentia accepted) from the floor for the open seat on TSC; and to learn of opportunities to support FUSW now with your time and talent. Bring a bagged lunch or finger food to share. Minutes from the Sunday, Mar 31 Town Hall can be found HERE and TSC documents can be found HERE . (Please contact a Board member if you need the password for the FUSW Members Page .)

A huge thank you to Denise Woodin, Betsy Kates, and all our volunteers for a successful tag sale fundraiser. We raised $1,753!! You guys are awesome!
Take a Box

We had arranged a pickup of unsold tag sale items, but unfortunately it did not work out. Please help us clear out Classroom 2 by taking a box or two (or three) to your local thrift shop, Goodwill, Salvation Army, or library. Many hands make light work. Thank you in advance!
From the Nominating Committee

The Nominating Committee is assembling a slate of candidates for the Board of Trustees that the congregation will vote on at our June annual meeting. Given the changes FUSW is experiencing, we are particularly interested in knowing which FUSW members are excited by this opportunity and want to take active roles in shaping our future. Please contact Paul Gross or Sarita Roy . Read the Committee's letter HERE .
Sunday Service Leaders Needed

Two Sunday Services Need Leaders: May 5 and May 26
Thank you to Michael Carman for our Thanksgiving Sunday service and Irene Jong for our New Year's Sunday service. We have two more open Sundays: May 5 and May 26. Guide a meditation, invite friends to make music, host a potluck breakfast, be creative and be our welcoming presence to each other and the community. Contact Irene Jong with questions or to volunteer.
Hospitality Help

Hospitality is what makes our congregation welcoming, and creates opportunities for service and connections. Coffee and Conversation Hosts needed for Apr 21, May 5, May 19, and May 26. Find instructions on our website HERE . Contact Irene Jong to sign up or with questions
UU Youth Exchange

We need host families for UU youth who will visit from Europe this summer. We also encourage our youth to apply for the program to spend two weeks abroad with a UU family. The exchange program is now in its 11th year and has been an enriching experience for youth and host families. Dates for the two week summer visit are coordinated with the host family. Click here for a video about the program made by youth. Irene Jong and Betsy Kates can share their experience hosting and sending youth. To apply, contact Shahan Islam at 347-603-6869 or .
