From Rev. Viola Abbitt

Dear ones,

July 31, 2020, will be my last day as your minister. It has been a wonderful year, and I will miss you all greatly. Please know that you have been an important and valuable part of my journey. I will never forget you.

This is also a reminder that after July 31 we will not be able to communicate with each other for quite some time, most likely at least two years. This means that we cannot email or telephone one another, and I will not be interacting with you on social media. If you are friends with me on Facebook, I will not be commenting on your posts, or replying to comments you make to a public post of mine, or to anything you send to me through Messenger. Also, I will not be responding to friend requests.

This is sad, but it is an important part of the transition from one minister to another. And you are blessed to have a wonderful minister coming to join you.

Be well, stay safe, and keep hope.

In peace and love, Rev. Viola
From the Board of Trustees

FUSW once again thanks Rev. Viola Abbitt for her time with us, especially during the pandemic. We have been incredibly fortunate to have benefited from her wisdom and her warmth at this unprecedented time in our congregation's history. FUSW looks forward to witnessing the many triumphs that lie ahead for Rev. Viola as her career progresses. We also look forward to beginning a new relationship with Kristina Church, who begins as our new minister on August 15 and will be in the pulpit for the first time September 13. We will share more information about Kristina in future newsletters.
