It’s hard to believe December is already in full swing, and 2024 is just around the corner! Here at Valley Humane Society, we are focused on making the future brighter for our furry friends and our community, and we wanted to take a moment to reflect on your part in this important work. Your generosity truly shone on Giving Tuesday, when more than $26,000 was contributed to match Robert and Diane Butler's compassionate gift of $25,000, resulting in more than $51,000 raised to support Valley Humane's lifesaving programs and life-enriching services. Thank you for your kindness!

We are grateful for your support throughout 2023, and looking forward to another year of partnering in support of pets and people. Together we can continue to illuminate lives in our community, sharing the love of and for our furry family members!

Fur-filled Holiday Homes Shine Bright

It’s that special time of year, when we kindle the spark of hope in adoptable animals by waiving adoption fees to help each cat or dog find a cozy hearth to call home. In the spirit of making their futures glow, Valley Humane invites you to consider adopting a warm and fuzzy friend fee-free from now until December 30. Give them the gift of a new home and wrap them in the embrace of your family's arms! Let's make their futures merry and bright, and help every pet find solace and light in the warmth of a loving home before the year is through!

Light Things Up With Year End Giving

We're committed to helping your year-end giving be as easy as it is meaningful, by putting the info you need right at your fingertips! Tax-deductible donations can be made out to Valley Humane Society at 3670 Nevada Street, Pleasanton, CA 94566. Our federal tax ID is 94-3038202.

Please note that December 31 is the deadline for the following 2023 Year-End Giving activities:

Online gifts must be completed by 11:59 pm.
Checks sent via the US Postal Service must be postmarked by 12/31.
Checks sent via carriers (UPS, FedEx, and DHL) must be received on or before 12/31.
Checks from an IRA meant to qualify for the charitable IRA “rollover,” or qualified charitable distribution (QCD) must clear the account by 12/31.

Brighten Your Holiday with this Dazzling Duo

Little Miss Sunshine and Mr. Cheerful are a bonded pair of joyous hearts longing for their new family. Little Miss Sunshine is a goofy girl, loving belly rubs and treats. Mr. Cheerful is a snuggly boy, enjoying cuddles and squeaky toys. Found together as strays in August, they've thrived in their foster home, relishing walks and cherishing snuggles. They've been searching for the perfect home for quite some time, due to their desire to remain BFF's! What they’d really love this holiday season is a home to share together. The good news is, during Valley Humane's Home for the Holidays event, their adoption fees are completely waived. Are you ready to brighten up your holiday--and every day--with this dazzling duo?

Glow at the Giving Tree

Step into the radiant glow of generosity at our Giving Tree, located in the adoption center lobby at 3670 Nevada Street in Pleasanton. Light up December by taking a tag off the tree to choose an animal's wish to fulfill in person, or brighten a furry friend's day through our online wish list. Thank you for helping create a brighter year ahead for cats, dogs, and people in our area!

Light Up Their Lives

Illuminate feline lives by volunteering to care for Valley Humane's adoptable cats and kittens. Cat Care volunteers shower felines with all their daily needs, serving up meals, keeping kennels clean and cozy and updating log charts with status and observations. PFE Holiday Spree

Pet Food Express is on a mission to bring joy to shelter animals by raising funds for essential pet supplies. By contributing to the annual Holiday Shopping Spree, you're making a meaningful difference in the lives of animals.--100% of the contributions go to participating shelters like Valley Humane, for the purchase of food and supplies.
