February 2024

Love is in the air at Valley Humane Society this month, with plenty of opportunities to celebrate the connection between pets and people! Recognized as Spay/Neuter Awareness month, February is a great time to emphasize the importance of “fixing” your furry companions. In addition to boosting their long-term health and overall well-being, spaying and neutering your pets helps prevent dog and cat overpopulation which can overwhelm our communities and shelters. Pets don't belong in shelters anyway! Help us spread the word about this hallmark of responsible pet ownership, and help save some lives!

Adults Only: A Pet Adoption Affaire

Skip the roses and chocolate this Valentine's Day and find love with a furry friend instead! Now through February 14th, come by for Adults Only: a Pet Adoption Affaire. With adoption fees just $14 for adult animals over 5 months old, it's the perfect time to open your heart to a more experienced companion (have you met Dr. Studly yet?). Whether you're searching for a frisky feline or a loyal canine, visit us Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm and discover the "Pal-entine" for you!

Spread the Love, not the Litters: Spay/Neuter Month

February is Spay/Neuter Awareness Month, a gentle reminder for us to show love to our pets by spaying or neutering them. Valley Humane Society's Phil Scholz Veterinary Surgery Center offers expert care, with more than 5,500 surgeries performed since May 2023 and fifty 5-star reviews from happy customers. Spay/neutering not only prevents unwanted litters but also promotes pet health and controls overpopulation. Schedule your pet's appointment online today. If your pet is already fixed, we encourage you to share our quality, lower-cost services with friends, family, and neighbors. Spread the love and help care for our pets and community!
