Radical Welcoming
Rev. Kristina Church
Gathering Music 10:25am - Service 10:30am

A random encounter on a busy street corner uncovers deep longing and becomes the catalyst for a lifetime project of welcoming the stranger. How can the practice of radical hospitality become a part of our own lives?

From the Minister

Greetings, FUSW folks! It's great to be back amongst you after my time away, which was of course punctuated by all the political tumult of the past week. No matter what happens in Washington this month, we have some thought-provoking and soul-satisfying services planned for you in January. Our Board of Trustees will also be hosting a "Fireside Chat" later this month, in which we'll begin to envision the way forward for this congregation, after all we've been through this year.

During this season of new starts and hopeful resolutions, I encourage you to think about how you might share your gifts and talents with FUSW. Now is a great time to get more involved with this community of care and connection. I look forward to seeing and talking with each of you at an upcoming service, or other FUSW event. Meanwhile, be well and stay safe!

~ Blessings, Kristina

Textile Recycling at FUSW

Green Tree Textiles is still collecting goods placed in the bin in our lot, which is now listed on the company's map of box locations. You can drop off clothing, shoes, household linens, fabric scraps, handbags, and accessories and they will be recycled, reused, or donated. (Not accepted: bathroom rugs, pillows, comforters, soft toys, or electronics.) Since Goodwill isn't accepting donations now, Green Tree is an excellent alternative.
Share the Plate for January: Federated Conservationists
