“Coming Full Circle
FUSW Musicians

Weather permitting, we will gather in person for our traditional year-end outdoor service and BYO picnic. Arrive at FUSW with a folding chair or two, plus your own brown bag lunch and drink. Masks will be required, per UUA guidelines. We will also show the service online via our regular Zoom. If it rains, we will hold a Zoom service, with musicians "broadcasting" from FUSW. The building will only be open to the performers; everyone else please stay home and stay dry.
Check our homepage at for updates on any changes to our plans for the outdoor service.

Sunday Worship Road Trip

On Sunday, June 20, we invite you to go on a road trip - a virtual one, that is! FUSW will not hold a Zoom worship so you can instead be a guest at an online service of the congregation of your choice. Is there a city you have always wanted to visit, or a faith leader you'd like to hear? Just type "Unitarian Universalist congregation in ----" in your search bar to find travel options. Most congregation websites include an invitation to join their online services, like ours does. Be sure to take note of the time service starts (especially in other time zones). Here are a few suggestions for what are sure to be interesting virtual services:

After your travels, please take a moment to jot down a sentence or two with impressions of your visit and send them to Rina ( for a special section in a future Scoop. Questions? Contact Betsy Kates ( Have a great trip!
New Summer Collaboration

Our summer services will be quite different this year! We are excited to be collaborating with the UU Congregation of the Hudson Valley (Croton), taking turns logging in to each other’s summer worship beginning July 4 and running through September 5. Please note these services will start at 10:00am. We will post the UUCHV link in the Scoop each week. We are looking for volunteers to lead worship and also help with hosting/tech, to fulfill our part of this shared commitment with Croton. Please contact Betsy Kates ( or Lisa DiMauro ( if you would like to lead a service or help with tech. If needed, one-to-one training is available with our very own Rina!
We Are Giving

We are proud to announce that the FUSW Community Garden has made its first contribution of the season to the greater community, donating fresh lettuce to a local food pantry. Thank you, gardeners!
We Are Grateful

The moving “Grateful” slide show from last Sunday's worship has been added to our Service Archive. If you missed it (or would like to watch it again) visit the Members page of and click on Service Archive. You will find the “Grateful” slide show at Music and Slide Shows.

Since 1946, NYIG has been the information exchange center in the greater NYC area for events and matters concerning A.A. as a whole. We collect for our Share-the-Plate partner throughout the month.
