“Gratitude”
Rev. Arlin Roy
In response to rapidly rising COVID-19 cases in Westchester, and with love and concern for the most vulnerable among us, FUSW is returning to ONLINE ONLY worship through August. The Board and others will look for ways to have outdoor in-person social gatherings at FUSW and elsewhere over the summer.

Who Are You Grateful For?
This Sunday, June 19, is our traditional end-of-year Gratitude service, in which we recognize and thank the many people whose gifts of time, talent, hard work, and spiritual encouragement help to make FUSW a vibrant, thriving congregation. If there is someone you are grateful for that you would like us to recognize, please send their name and a brief description of their contribution to Rev. Arlin Roy (arlinroy@yahoo.com) by tomorrow, Friday, June 17, so that he can include them in the service.

It's Pledge Season!
It's time to make a commitment of financial support to this congregation for the next program year. It's easy! Email fuswtreasurer@gmail.com, with the subject line “Pledge for 2022-23,” and include your pledge amount in the message. We need all hands on deck this year, and that means friends as well as members. If you are a part of this community, partake in what we offer, and find it a valuable part of your life, please do the right thing and show your support. If you made a pledge last year and we don’t hear from you, we will assume that you want to make the same pledge this year. Click here for details about our pledge campaign.

FUSW Book Group
FUSW Book Group, Sunday, June 26, 4:00pm, Outside at FUSW
We are reading Newbery Honor-winner The Watsons Go to Birmingham - 1963. This Young Adult classic follows 10-year-old Kenny Watson and his family on a road trip from Flint, MI, to Birmingham, AL, a journey that brushes against the bombing of a church, much like the tragic attack on Birmingham’s 16th Street Baptist. All are welcome to our discussion! To learn more, contact Denise Woodin (dcw2@optonline.net).

FUSW Contacts & Information
Questions, Concerns, or Compliments for FUSW? Reach out to any member of our Board of Trustees, fusw.org/board-of-trustees (place cursor over picture, then right-mouse click to copy email).
The Board of Trustees usually meets on the third Tuesday of each month. Meetings begin at 7:30pm. We are currently meeting online. Meetings are open to any member of FUSW. If the Board enters into executive session to discuss personnel or confidential matters, non-Board will be asked to leave for that portion of the meeting. At the end of the meeting there will be an open forum, moderated by the President, during which non-Board members can speak about topics of concern. We ask that you limit your remarks to two minutes. This forum will last from five to ten minutes, depending on the Board agenda. Please contact any Board member if you have questions or comments. To access the minutes from previous meetings, visit the Members page of fusw.org and click on Board Minutes Archive. Click here to join our meeting on Zoom.
Scheduling Online Meetings To schedule a Zoom online meeting for your committee or program group, contact Rina Schunk (admin@fusw.org) with the purpose, date, and time you need, as well as information you want included in the Scoop.
