Sunday, May 15 Worship: In Person in the Sanctuary at South Church, and online via Facebook Live
Teacher Appreciation
Joint service with South Church

This Sunday, FUSW will join South Church in their sanctuary at 343 Broadway, Dobbs Ferry, and online via Facebook Live, for a worship service honoring, celebrating, and thanking teachers and educators. Educators from both congregations will participate.

Because we are in the larger sanctuary space this Sunday, we will not need to limit the number of people who can attend.

There will be no phone-in option this week.
Note that the worship and chat are recorded, and both can be viewed by the public later on the South Church Facebook page.

We ask FUSW folks attending in person to show proof of vaccination plus boosters in advance or at the door. Contact Rina ( to provide proof before Sunday’s service. Masks are required in the public spaces of South Church. Masks are optional while in the sanctuary.

Note to Virtual Attendees

This Sunday our online service is via South Church's Facebook Live page (not FUSW's Zoom link). Click to join. South Church invites all virtual attendees to use the Facebook chat to say hello, write comments, and post joys and concerns during that section of the service. They will monitor the chat and make every effort to say the virtual joys or concerns aloud. (Posts take a few seconds to display, so when pastor Margery Rossi asks for joys and concerns, they suggest you start typing right away.) Note that the worship and chat will be recorded, and will be posted later on the public South Church Facebook page.
Sing with South Church

FUSW singers are invited to join the South Church Choir for our joint service this Sunday. Anyone who wishes to participate should meet in the sanctuary at 8:30am, before the service.

Recommended: the UU Denominational House in Chautauqua

Connie Kehoe & Kevin Weber recommend the UU Denominational House in Chautauqua, NY. And while there, be sure to experience the summer programs, performances, and activities at the historic Chautauqua Institution. Connie and Kevin have rented at the UUDH for several years, and will be staying there this summer. The residence is small and fills up quickly, and offerings at the Chautauqua Institution are expensive, but they feel the cost is well worth it. UU services led by visiting ministers are held on the grounds each Sunday. Another option for lodging (that Connie and Kevin have not yet tried) is Quaker House.
