Message from Our Minister

It is with great sadness that I realize the last homily I will deliver at FUSW will be at the Flower Communion on June 7. I am sorry that physical distancing has made it impossible to have the "goodbye" I would have loved, one that would have included lots of hugs and laughter, and plenty of those great snacks some of you make! As I prepare to leave you, I am reminded that departures in ministry are difficult for everyone. My contract ends on July 31, 2020, and as is standard practice among UU ministers, there will be a period of time after that in which I will have no contact with any of you. That will mean not initiating or responding to emails, telephone calls, or Facebook friend requests or messages. This is usually for two years, but could be more or less depending upon the length of the contract of your next minister. In spite of this, know that you will always be a part of my ministry and that I love you all. ~ Viola Abbitt
