Common Read

The UU Common Read invites us to read and discuss the same book to help build community and provide a basis for meaningful conversation. The Common Read for 2019-20 is An Indigenous Peoples' History of the United States and An Indigenous Peoples’ History of the United States for Young People . The year 2020 is the 400th anniversary of the encounter at Plymouth between colonists and those native to the land, and an ideal time to examine this much-mythologized origin story and others through the eyes of indigenous peoples.
