An Honorable Harvest
Rev. Kristina Church

Four hundred years after the events we commemorate with the holiday called Thanksgiving, it's time to come to terms with the legacy of Settler Colonialism in North America. Can we still enjoy the turkey and the stuffing, while examining the story of the First Thanksgiving with a critical lens? Can we find an honorable, truthful, and inclusive way to celebrate the harvest season, appreciate our complex history, and bring more gratitude into our lives throughout the year?

From the Treasurer

Among the many experiences we are missing without in-person services is the opportunity to pass the plate. We urge you to estimate what you would be putting in the plate each Sunday and every once in a while mail a check to FUSW or click on the Donate button at and make that contribution. Remember, for November and December, half the amount collected in the plate (called "Weekly Collection Basket" on the Donate dropdown options) will be used for holiday gifts for our staff. Please be generous.
