Neighboring Congregations

"Becoming Interculturally Competent," Saturday, Oct 20, 9:00am - 12:30pm, Community UU Congregation, 468 Rosedale Ave, White Plains
Intercultural competence is the set of skills that allows us to recognize our own “cultural lens” and then go beyond it to see other cultural perspectives as well. We invite you to join us for an important workshop led by Rev. Erica Baron where we walk through the stages of the Developmental Model of Intercultural Sensitivity (DMIS), discover steps we can take to develop intercultural competence, and explore ways to apply it in our own lives and in our congregations. Event is free; space is limited. RSVP: Joe Majsak (jmajsak@verizon.net) by Thursday, Oct 18.
Upcoming Social Justice Events

Undoing Racism Workshop , Tuesday, Oct 23 - Thursday, Oct 25, Shaarei Tikvah Synagogue, 46 Fox Meadow Rd, Scarsdale
This is hands down the best training I’ve ever attended and it’s being held nearby in Scarsdale. If any congregant attends, I’ll join you (this will be my 4th or 5th time) If you need help with the cost, contact me and we will work it out. ~ Rev. Peggy Clarke
