A Wonderful Fall Concert

We had a great turnout for our outdoor concert last Saturday, September 26, and were so happy that Rev. Kristina Church and her son could join us. The weather even cooperated! Visit our homepage (fusw.org) to see some fun photos from the event.
Message from the Minister

Hello, and thank you so very much for your warm and welcoming hospitality during my visit to Hastings over the weekend. My son, Rafael, and I were delighted to meet many of you, and share in the community's joy at being able to be together after so long apart. I'm proud of this congregation for finding ways to be present to one another that are safe and low-risk, even in these trying circumstances. Now Rafa and I are back home in Buffalo, but I'm still aglow with the memories: of my conversations with many of you, of the incredible concert we attended, and of Sunday's Kol Nidre service. Many thanks to our musicians and emcees; the FUSW Board of Trustees; worship co-leader, Ron Katz; and all who helped make it such a safe and magical experience. Hope to see you all again soon! ~ Blessings, Rev. Kristina
Share the Plate Re-imagined

The Board needs your help in renewing our commitment to our Social Justice actions and our Share the Plate support. We will be highlighting one organization or justice initiative each month in the coming year, and invite you to submit nominations to the Board. The organization must be one that you support with your passion, time, and talent, as well as your dollars. It must have an impact locally, even if it is a national organization, and it must be a registered 501(c)(3). We see this as a way to encourage others to join us in something we think is worthwhile, a way to support each other’s interests, and a way to increase our visibility in the wider community. We anticipate having you or a representative from the organization speak briefly during a service in the month when that organization is highlighted. Contact Susan Greenberg (fuswtreasurer@gmail.com) with your suggestions.
Look for Your Status Reports

Status reports through Tuesday, September 22, were emailed out last week and paper copies were mailed to anyone without an email address. Be sure to look for your report and check that it is accurate. These reports are a great way to confirm that all your contributions have been received and recorded. If you have any questions, contact Susan Greenberg (fuswtreasurer@gmail.com)
