In Person Outdoors at 25 Old Jackson Ave, Hastings-on-Hudson

Goodbye to 25 Old Jackson Avenue

For five decades, 25 Old Jackson Avenue has been FUSW’s physical and spiritual home. As we look ahead to handing over the property to its new owners, we also look back in love and gratitude. All FUSW members and friends are invited to attend this in-person service to honor and commemorate our beloved space and the countless meaningful moments we’ve experienced there. We invite those present to share a brief memory or thought about 25 OJA (please keep it to a minute).

We're especially hoping that former FUSW Youth will feel moved to attend and offer their memories - please share this invitation with your children and others who have come up through FUSW's RE, OWL, Coming of Age, and Youth programs! If you can’t attend in person but would like to share a moment, please email it to Lisa deMauro ([email protected]) as soon as possible so we can read it at the service.

Bring a chair or chairs for yourself and/or others. Hot/cold beverages will be provided. Please bring cookies, cheese and crackers, grapes or juice. If the weather is inclement, we will hold the service inside the building. (For an indoor service, those present will need to wear masks and show proof of vaccination.)

Please note: We are working out the technology for a hybrid service, but the quality is unlikely to be as good as at our usual services. We recommend that everyone attend in person, if possible.

FUSW Contacts & Information

Questions, Concerns, or Compliments for FUSW? Reach out to any member of our Board of Trustees, fusw.org/board-of-trustees (place cursor over picture, then right-mouse click to copy email).

The Board of Trustees usually meets on the third Tuesday of each month. Meetings begin at 7:30pm. We are currently meeting online. Meetings are open to any member of FUSW. If the Board enters into executive session to discuss personnel or confidential matters, non-Board members will be asked to leave for that portion of the meeting. At the end of the meeting there will be an open forum, moderated by the President, during which non-Board members can speak about topics of concern. We ask that you limit your remarks to two minutes. This forum will last from five to ten minutes, depending on the Board agenda. Please contact any Board member if you have questions or comments. To access the minutes from previous meetings, visit the Members page of fusw.org and click on Board Minutes Archive. Click here to join our meeting on Zoom.

Scheduling Online Meetings To schedule a Zoom online meeting for your committee or program group, contact Rina Schunk ([email protected]) with the purpose, date, and time you need, as well as information you want included in the Scoop.
