Final Monthly Action Call of 2025
Monday, December 15 | 7:00pm
Want to learn more about the issues and legislation on which NYUUJ focuses? Curious about the work of our partner organizations and Issue Teams? Join us for our new Monthly Action Call!
To increase engagement and deepen public understanding, NYUUJ will host a monthly Zoom call centered on one of our core justice issues and how you can make an impact in Albany. On the third Monday of each month, you’re invited to join us to learn background information, ask questions, and discover concrete ways to take action. Each month, a different topic and speaker, helping you stay connected to the ongoing work of NYUUJ and our coalition partners.
Our December call will focus on the newly adopted CSAI on Abolition. Congregational Study Action Issues are topics chosen by UU congregations nationwide for a three-year period of learning, reflection, and action. At this year’s General Assembly, UUs voted to study Abolition, Transformation, and Faith Formation. What does abolition mean in a UU context? How do we affirm the inherent worth and dignity of every person within a society shaped by the prison-industrial complex?
Join NYUUJ board member Rev. Michael Tino from the Church of the Larger Fellowship to explore these questions and begin this study journey with us.
