The FUSW Reading Black Lives book group is reading On the Rooftop by Margaret Wilkerson Sexton. Described as “stunning,” this novel "is about a mother whose dream of musical stardom for her three daughters collides with the daughters’ ambitions for their own lives—set against the backdrop of gentrifying 1950s San Francisco.” Weather and COVID permitting, the group will meet in person at South Church at noon on Sunday, February 19 to discuss the book. All are welcome. Contact Denise Woodin at ( if you’d like to join the discussion.
