About Our Guest

New York based singer-songwriter Judy Kass draws in her audience with original music that blends elements of folk, jazz and blues with songs covering the full gamut of mood and experience. Her 2014 debut album, “Better Things” and her 2016 CD, “Beyond the Ash and Steel” both received notable airplay.

Judy's latest album release, New Skin (2025), co-produced with Mark Dann and Pat Wictor, is an eclectic mix of songs that range from reflecting on life’s detours and navigating through change, to observations on the state of our fragmented world. A celebration of fruitful collaboration, New Skin features a number of co-writes with renowned award-winning artists including Sloan Wainwright and Glen Roethel. Her tune “Soothsayer” features her Grammy-nominated trumpeter daughter, Kyla Moscovich.

As in her first two albums, Judy’s talents as a multi-instrumentalist, singer, writer and arranger in New Skin shine in lyrical narratives, exquisite melodies and rich harmonies that showcase her transporting voice and command of her instruments.

New Skin made an impressive debut charting #4 on Folk Alliance International's list of top albums for July, 2025.

Message from the Treasurer about Pledge Drive 2026

Our pledge drive is in the home stretch! Please get your pledges in this week, if you haven't already done so. Keep in mind that the pledge is only the promise. No actual money is due on next year's pledge until after June 30--and then payments may be stretched out over the 2026-2027 fiscal year.

For those who have yet to pledge, your response may be emailed to FUSWtreasurer@gmail.com. It will be sufficient to include a single sentence "My/Our pledge to the operating budget for 2026-27 is $____ for the year." If you prefer, you may complete the orange response form that was in your pledge packet and mail it in or give it to Kevin Weber on Sunday, who will pass along the form to the treasurer. If you have questions or concerns about the pledge, you can reach out to Susan Greenberg directly.

The responses received so far have been generous. Whatever your circumstances, and however much you can pledge, please know that we are grateful for your participation. Each of us makes a difference to our community. The aggregate of our individual gifts (time/talent/treasure) is what FUSW is all about.

In community,

Susan Greenberg

Outreach Committee Reaches Out to You

The Outreach Committee has a strategy to help you publicize FUSW to your larger community: Wear a T-shirt! Newly designed FUSW T-shirts are now available to order: in black or light blue, short- or long-sleeve, and in adult sizes S through 3X. Prices are $22 for short sleeve and $27 for long sleeve, with an additional charge of $3.20 for 2X or 3X. Lenore is taking orders in person or via email. Payments may be made to her via cash, check, or Zelle. This is not a fundraiser; we're making the shirts available at cost as part of our outreach to a wider audience. Questions or orders? Contact Lenore.
