About Our Guest
Pat Lamanna is a long-time member of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Poughkeepsie. She has served as its President and is currently Chair of the Social Justice Committee. She is also an award-winning singer-songwriter. One of her songs, "Peace Pilgrim," is featured in part on Pete Seeger's Grammy nominated album, "The Storm King." She has three solo albums: "Full Circle" (2009); "Do I Know My Song Well Enough to Start Singing Yet?" (2012); and "Something Beautiful (2017).

Pledge Drive 2026 has officially begun! Please review all the material included in the pledge packet and mail or email your pledge to Susan Greenberg as soon as you can. You won't be asked to begin paying your pledge until after June 30.
If you have questions or concerns about the pledge process or the budget, please plan to attend the budget discussion that will be presented by the Finance Committee on Tuesday, May 5th at 7:30 pm via Zoom. Get Well Soon
Art Lowenstein is recovering well from a procedure he had on April 27th. He is grateful for your concern and support, but for now, he will need to focus his energy and attention on recovery and so will not be taking phone calls. Invitation to a New Writing Group
Micheál Dowling serves as coordinator for an online writing group that is seeking new members. It started as a group for people interested in both psychotherapy/psychoanalysis and writing, but has expanded to include writing on a range of subjects. Members may offer short- or long-form fiction or non-fiction, memoir, poetry, or prose. The group provides gentle constructive criticism to help writers improve their work. Jean Garner in Concert

Singer and actress Jean Garner brings you an evening of beloved jazz, Great American Songbook favorites, and pop standards —celebrating the charm of spring and romance. Garner will donate a portion of her proceeds to Girls, Inc. which fosters mentoring and empowerment for girls. Join her again on June 6 in Mt. Kisco.

A Neighborhood Outing!

Join Marilee and Paul for community outreach after the May 3 service. We'll spend about an hour touring the neighborhood to see where we can post flyers announcing FUSW's presence in Hartsdale. Board of Trustees - The board usually meets on the third Monday of each month via Zoom at 7:45 pm. If you wish to attend, please check with a board member or the administrator, because the schedule sometimes shifts. Click here to join the board meeting on Zoom.
Meetings are open to any member of FUSW. For confidential matters, non-board members will be asked to leave temporarily. At the end of the meeting, there will be an open forum, during which non-board members can speak about topics of concern, limiting remarks to two minutes. To access the minutes from previous meetings, visit the Members page on our website.
Scheduling Zoom Meetings or Submitting Information for The Scoop and FUSW Calendar - Contact our Administrator, Karmesha Peake. For Zoom meetings, please include the purpose and preferred date/time. Items for The Scoop are due by 10:00 am on Wednesday. Submissions may be edited for space or style. If you want to discuss your submission, contact Lisa deMauro.
