Social Media 101

Sunday, November 23 | 12:30PM-1:30PM, FUSW

The ability for us all to help spread the word has been limited by some people’s knowledge (or lack there of) of social media. The goal of the class is to help people understand the basics, so that they can like, share, and follow, at least on Facebook and Instagram if not TikTok also. The idea is that we have people bring their devices with them and have a hands-on class. Be sure to BYOD, Bring Your Own Device.

This class will be open to outsiders also for a small donation. Contact the Office Administrator for more information (admin@fusw.org).

We’re looking for one or more volunteer photographers to help capture the energy and spirit of our FUSW community! As we grow our social media presence, having great photos from our events makes a big difference.

Calling All Greeters

The FUSW Membership Committee is looking for additional friendly faces to join our Sunday morning greeting team. One committee member will always be on hand, and we’re hoping to add a second greeter to help during the busy moments.

No experience needed — we’ll show you everything you need to know. All you need is a warm smile and the ability to arrive at 10:00 a.m. every now and then.

Board of Trustees - The Board usually meets on the third Monday of each month via Zoom at 7:45pm. If you wish to attend, please check with a board member or the administrator, because the schedule sometimes shifts. Click here to join the Board meeting on Zoom.

Meetings are open to any member of FUSW. For confidential matters, non-Board members will be asked to leave temporarily. At the end of the meeting, there will be an open forum, during which non-Board members can speak about topics of concern, limiting remarks to two minutes. For Zoom meetings, please include the purpose and preferred date/time. Items for The Scoop are due by Wednesday at 10:00am. Submissions may be edited for space or style.
