2023 Spring Preview
The turn of the year means that another Spring lacrosse season is just around the corner. Our college alumni have been matriculating back to school for pre-season practices, our South Carolina High School players started practices last week and our North Carolina High School guys get started in just a few weeks. We’ll also kickoff another season of the Ducks Recreational Lacrosse League in February which you can learn more about here.
With the turn to the new year, it is also time for some Spring lacrosse season previews via The Scoop! One of the main reasons we started The Scoop in 2017 was to fill a void in media coverage for the local lacrosse community. While we certainly aren’t the Charlotte Observer, we’re excited to highlight some of the things going on within the sport over the next few months and shine a light on some of the great things our guys are doing in college, high school and even at the youth level.
We’ll also continue to deliver more Team 91 Player Spotlights over the next few months. Here is what you can expect to read over the next few weeks in The Scoop:
January 25th – Division I Games to Watch
With the college season getting started in early February, we’ll highlight a few of the top regular season games to watch this season.
February 1st – Division I Players to Watch
One of the things we encourage our youth players to do is find a favorite player to watch each Spring season. We’ll highlight 10 of the players in Division I that we’re most excited to watch this 2023 season.
February 8th – Division II and III Games and Players to Watch
With so many great high school players from Charlotte going on to play at the Division II and Division III levels, we wanted to increase our coverage of D2 and D3 lacrosse. We’ll highlight some of the top teams and players to watch this Spring!
February 22nd – Charlotte Games to Watch
With the Charlotte High School season kicking off, we’ll highlight five games to watch in Charlotte this Spring.
March 1st – Charlotte Players to Watch
We’ll wrap up our Spring previews with 10 High School players to watch in Charlotte this Spring. The area is loaded with talented young players, and we’ll hit on a few that you should get out to see this season.
Most importantly, we’ll continue to host another season of the Charlotte High School Top 10 Coaches poll. You can find that in The Scoop or directly through our social media channels on Instagram and Twitter (@Team91CLT).

We’re looking forward to another Spring lacrosse season and appreciate all our readers and their continued support.
