New Public Relations Committee

The FUSW Board of Trustees has heard the congregation’s feedback from last year’s Listening Conversations, and almost all of us want a greater visibility for FUSW in our community and our county. Sue McAnanama and Jane Lawrence will be spearheading a Public Relations Committee and are looking for volunteers. New outreach efforts will communicate our mission, programs, and activities in various ways to a wider audience and to all age groups. For example, press releases, articles, and social media will be used to profile FUSW members involved in doing good work in our community, to describe our fantastic RE and OWL programs, and to increase the reach of Peggy's services and our musical events, just to name a few. If you like to write, or are tech savvy, or just bursting with ideas about how to get our message out, please let Jane and/or Sue know. An initial meeting will be held soon to launch this effort. Stay tuned - and thank you! Contact: Jane Lawrence ( ), Sue McAnanama ( ).

A big thank you to all those who led summer services: Susan and Larry Greenberg, the Women's Group, Kevin Weber & Connie Kehoe, Irene Jong, Diane Guernsay & Paul Gross, April & Ray Castoldi, Craig Butler & Family, Marilee Scheunemann, Marin & Greg Shunick, Vikram Jallepalli, and John Scheuneman.
Hastings Food Pantry

THANK YOU to all who donated groceries and canned goods to the Food Pantry on Main Street in Hastings-on-Hudson. The pantry is open to all, and once a week clients can choose anything they need, no matter where they live. FUSW has supported this food pantry for many years. You may place your donations in the hinged box in the FUSW bathroom hallway. (Thanks also to George McAnanama for last month delivering ALL the food himself on the hottest day of the year!)
