No Membership Dues Increase for 2020-21
|
The COP Executive Committee approved the recommendation to maintain the 2019-20 membership dues for 2020-21. While the COP originally approved a $300 dues increase for next year, it was decided that the NAIA should prioritize cost savings for our members due to the impact of COVID-19.

Congratulations and welcome to the
NAIA's five newest member institutions
, which include
Oakland City University (Oakland City, Ind.), Park University Gilbert (Gilbert, Ariz.), Texas A&M University-San Antonio, University of North Texas at Dallas and Westcliff University (Irvine, Calif.). Oakland City will be returning to the NAIA from NCAA Division II, becoming the sixth school to move from the NCAA to the NAIA in the past five years.

COP Approves Additional Membership Application Cycle
|
The Council of Presidents approved a second membership application cycle, allowing schools to apply for NAIA membership mid-summer and receive a decision as early as the beginning of October. The NAIA also accepts new member applications with a deadline on October 1 for the following academic year.

The NAIA's
newest partnership
is with
Rack Performance,
which is allowing NAIA
member institutions to use their software for free through September 1, 2020. Rack Performance gives coaches easy-to-use online tools for creating, customizing, and tracking strength and conditioning programs. This is ideal for student-athletes who have to train independently, as the software provides athletics programs a simple way to keep student-athletes physically engaged and active leading up to fall and winter sports.

Scorecard submission is June 15. Now is a great time for athletics directors and campus character liaisons to complete the scorecard in NAIAHelp and share how the five core values have been represented on your campus.
