NEW: NAIA Announces Five-Year Contract Extension with President Jim Carr
The NAIA Council of Presidents Executive Committee has come to an agreement with President and Chief Executive Officer Jim Carr to extend the term of his employment through 2025. Carr joined the NAIA in 1998 as managing director and general counsel and has been CEO since 2006.
Feedback Needed on Competitive Experience Rule
The Competitive Experience Committee has been working for the past few years on ways to improve the competitive experience rule, which relates to how NAIA student-athletes use seasons of competition. A CEC webpage has been created to summarize the work completed to date and offer an opportunity for membership to provide feedback. Please take a minute and share your thoughts with the committee on this important topic.

NEW: 2020 Convention Registration Now Open
Registration for the 2020 NAIA National Convention is now open. The convention will take place:

March 28-April 1, 2020
Kansas City, Missouri
Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at Crown Center

Eligibility
NEW: Eligibility Center Transcript Deadline and Limited Holiday Service
The eligibility center will be clos ed from Sat., Dec. 21 through Wed., Jan. 1 and will reopen on Thurs., Jan. 2. Limited staff will be working on Dec. 23 and 26-31.
 
For students seeking a determination prior to holiday break, transcripts must be received no later than Dec. 12. For students who have terms ending after Dec. 12 and have games during holiday break, send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Urgent - Student name/ECID#, game date." The "urgent" title must be in the subject line , to ensure that staff will review the email.


Voucher Reminder: Eligibility Decision Needed by End of Term

As a reminder, all students who have been vouched for must receive an eligible determination from the eligibility center by the end of the fall 2019 term. Per the voucher terms, failure to do so means the student will be considered ineligible and result in the corresponding consequences for both the student and institution. Please contact the eligibility center at 816.595.8304, or legislative services at 816.595.8180 with any questions. 
Championships
NEW: Cross Country National Championships
Oklahoma City University won its fifth national title at the 2019 NAIA Men's Cross Country National Championship in Vancouver, Wash. Madonna University (Mich.) finished first on the women's side, with an average time of 18:35 per runner for the 5k distance, earning their first NAIA Women's Cross Country National Championship . Congratulations to both teams on their exceptional performances.
