Eligibility
NEW: Reapplication Instructions

Students whose applications have been cancelled or have previously received a decision and need a new one, will need to reapply. The first step is for the NAIA institution to start a new application. Please use these instructions for steps on how to start a new application.


NEW: Domestic Transcript Submission Policy Change

Beginning March 2, 2020 , all domestic transcripts must be sent through the following methods:
 
High School Transcripts
All official high school transcripts must be submitted to the eligibility center via the NAIA High School Portal. Other submission methods, such as mail or third-party vendors, will no longer be accepted.
 
Post-Secondary Transcripts
Official transcripts from all previous post-secondary institutions must be submitted directly by the issuing institution to the eligibility center. The preferred method of receiving transcripts will be through the NAIA Registrars Portal. Institutions who do not use the NAIA Registrars Portal will need to send transcripts through one of the following methods:
  • Approved third-party vendors - Parchment, National Student Clearinghouse, Credentials Solutions/E-Scrip Safe; if an email address is required for these services, the student must use [email protected].
  • Physical Mail - Official transcripts must be in a school sealed envelope and mailed to the eligibility center.


Fee Waiver Exception has Concluded

All fee waiver confirmations are required to be submitted through the NAIA High School Portal, regardless of when the student graduated. If a student's high school is unable to obtain fee waiver confirmation or the student’s financial circumstances have materially changed since high school graduation, students can use the college fee waiver exception .


Inter-term Transcripts Deadline

Beginning February 3, 2020 , inter-term transcripts documenting completed inter-term coursework will be required to receive eligibility decisions.

NEW: Mindy Pinkerton Retirement
After nearly 19 years with the NAIA national office, Mindy Pinkerton will retire on January 17, 2020. As manager of executive services and business operations, Mindy has coordinated COP affairs, managed billing, and assisted the NAIA's leadership team. (Until this position is filled, please contact Jen Saab for COP-related matters and Elizabeth Rine for accounting questions.) Congratulations, Mindy, and thank you for all you have done for the NAIA!
NEW: NAIA Senior Football Classic Wrap-up
The NAIA hosted the inaugural NAIA Senior Football Classic on December 14 in Savannah, Ga. Players from 38 NAIA schools participated, working out in front of professional scouts, as well as playing in their final NAIA game. The West defeated the East by a score of 31-28. A special thank you to the 18 NAIA football coaches who assisted, including head coaches Chris Stutzriem (West) from Rocky Mountain College and Tim Mathis (East) of Cumberland University.
NEW: Economic Boost from Championship
In partnership with the Cascade Collegiate Conference, Vancouver, Wash. hosted the 2019 NAIA Men's and Women's Cross Country National Championships and in doing so, experienced an overall economic impact of more than $1.3 million.
NEW: Seeking Softball Players for USA Baseball's Women's National Team
USA Baseball fields a team of 20 athletes to represent Team USA internationally in baseball. Nearly all players have played or are currently playing college softball. Institutions with softball players who may be interested in this opportunity should contact USA Baseball's Ashley Bratcher at 919.474.8721 ext. 219. Player identification events are currently being scheduled.
Rules
NEW: Baseball Bat Requirements; New Rules
Beginning with the 2020 season, white barreled bats will no longer be allowed. The bat barrel color must be of a predominantly contrasting color to the color of the baseball between the 18-inch mark to the end cap. Click here for a list of prohibited baseball bats.
