NEW: Scorecard Update: July 1 Deadline

The Champions of Character® Scorecard deadline has been extended from June 15 to July 1, 2021. When submitting the scorecard, there is now the ability to denote if virtual events were held due to COVID-19 limitations.

NEW: Reminder to Update NAIAHelp Profiles

As staff changes occur over the summer, ADs are reminded to update their institutional NAIAHelp profiles before the academic year begins. All ADs, registrars, FARs, and coaches must be accurate to certify eligibility, so make sure they are current to avoid any delays in eligibility certification.

NAIAHelp is also the database for contacting athletic trainers, campus character liaisons, athletic compliance administrators, and presidents. Please make sure all contact information is up-to-date so they are receiving important NAIA communications and resources.
NEW: Changes to the Drug Education Program

Based on feedback from member institutions, the National Drug Testing and Education Committee has made some changes to the drug testing program for 2021-22. The goal is to provide more flexibility and autonomy to institutions as they determine the best way address drug education on their respective campuses. Click here for more details.

2021-24 Strategic Plan Approved

The COP approved the proposed 2021-24 Strategic Plan. Building off the current strategic plan, two areas of focus were added to the new plan, bringing the total number of strategic plan pillars to five. They include:

  • Membership
  • Return on Athletics®
  • Non-Dues Revenue
  • NEW: Student-Athlete Experience & Development
  • NEW: Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Championships
NEW: 2021-22 Qualification Plans and Per Sport Members
In recognition of the hectic spring, the NAC extended the deadline to July 15, 2021 for conferences to submit any additional per-sport members and requests for affiliated groupings. The qualification plans will then be adjusted and finalized at the NAC’s September meeting.
 
Conference commissioners can submit Affiliated Grouping Requests through this form.

Schools can begin submitting their 2020-21 year-end report information starting Monday, July 12. The deadline to finalize the data is December 1.
