On Sunday January 5th at 6:05 pm our dear friend Debbie Liverman took her last breath, leaving her physical body for her next destination. She will be greatly missed by many.

In the weeks leading up to her passing, her support team at SSVA demonstrated what it means to love unconditionally, be fully present, hold each other up while experiencing deep sadness, and support a fellow being with tremendous dignity, professionalism and compassion.

Debbie joined the SSVA family in 2001 and from day one she demanded to be heard - necessary when you grow up with 12 brothers and sisters. Although she did not use a lot of words, she was a strong communicator. Debbie lived enthusiastically and on her own terms. She loved Elvis, her big family and many friends, doing her artwork, stuffed animals and fuzzy blankets, joking around, and being in charge of her own life..

Debbie was resilient and strong - defying odds at every opportunity. She joyfully visited with Santa and other friends less than just 2 weeks before she passed. Debbie loved unconditionally and gave absolutely the best hugs. Hugs that told us that everything was okay!

We can’t say goodbye to Debbie without including one of her favorite words - bullshit - and saying goodbye is just that - bullshit! We will miss tremendously sweet Debbie, and are grateful for all that you taught us. Godspeed!
